The Galaxy Watch 4 revolutionizes health tracking with its unique Samsung BioActive Sensor. This triple sensor not only measures heart rate and ECG but also enables bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA). BIA measures body composition, providing valuable data on body fat, skeletal muscle, and body water. Combined with sleep analysis, which measures blood oxygen levels and detects snoring, users get a holistic picture of their health. Blood pressure monitoring is also possible after calibration with a traditional monitor.

Performance and Operating System

Powered by the new Exynos W920 dual-core processor, the Galaxy Watch 4 offers fast and responsive performance. However, the biggest innovation is the Wear OS Powered by Samsung. This collaboration with Google allows access to a huge library of apps from the Google Play Store, including Google Maps, Google Pay, and Spotify. This makes the smartwatch significantly more versatile than its predecessors. The One UI Watch interface ensures an intuitive and seamless user experience.

Design and Versatility

The Galaxy Watch 4 comes in two variants: the sporty Galaxy Watch 4 with a minimalist aluminum casing and the elegant Galaxy Watch 4 Classic with a classic, rotating stainless steel bezel. The Classic variant offers a tactile and intuitive way to navigate menus, which is replaced by a virtual bezel on the display in the sporty version. Both models are robust, water-resistant (IP68), and shock-resistant (MIL-STD-810G), making them suitable for any activity, from swimming to hiking.
