The new BioActive Sensor is the heart of the Galaxy Watch 5. It enables a wealth of health metrics, including heart rate measurement, an ECG to check heart rhythm, and Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA) to measure body composition (body fat and muscle mass). One of the most significant improvements is the optimized sleep analysis, which now provides detailed insights into sleep stages and snoring patterns. Additionally, the new temperature sensor helps to identify health trends.

Durable Design and Improved Resilience

The design of the Galaxy Watch 5 is simple and functional. The watch casings are made from Armor Aluminum. A key improvement is the sapphire crystal display, which is twice as hard as the Gorilla Glass on previous models, making it significantly more resistant to everyday scratches. The Watch 5 is also durable enough for sports activities, with a water resistance of 5 ATM and an IP68 certification. It is available in two sizes, 40 mm and 44 mm, to accommodate different wrists.
